About

Hi, I am Angie Lee, RP, MTA, MMT, founder of Healing Notes Therapy. My work is rooted in my own experience as a sensitive child who carried big emotions, and in the many individuals and families I have had the privilege of supporting over the years. I believe therapy should be as unique as the person receiving it.

A Unique Foundation: From Music to the Therapeutic Space

With over 5 years of clinical experience, I have worked with children, youth, adults, and families across hospitals, community mental health and paediatric settings. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I was a professional musician, music educator, and school teacher, giving me over 10 years of experience supporting children and youth in both educational and clinical contexts. My combined training in music therapy and play therapy is still uncommon in Canada, and it shapes everything I bring into the therapy room.

My Approach: Creativity Meets Compassion

I integrate play, visual arts, and music into sessions to create a bridge where words might not be enough. As a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, I have a particular strength in connecting with neurodivergent children, including those who are non-verbal or with multiple diagnosis, by meeting them where they are. I also bring working knowledge of OAP funding, school accommodations, and community resources, so families don’t have to navigate next steps alone.

Outside the Therapy Room

You will usually find me drinking coffee or tea. Among my family and friends, I am known as a cat and dog person, dedicated foodie and baker. I am also a self-proclaimed bubble tea researcher.
